The Eden Arts Foundation is a 501(c)(3) arts organization devoted to the advancement of contemporary artists and curators. With a steadfast commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices within the arts, the foundation nurtures diverse artistic expressions and encourages innovative experimentation through its annual Artists Now Award and Curatorial Research Fellowship, along with a range of educational and community-based initiatives.

Eden Xu-Martinez

Founder

Eden Xu-Martinez is the founder of The Eden Arts Foundation and an active patron of contemporary art and cultural institutions.

Through philanthropy and leadership, she is deeply engaged in supporting art and fostering global cultural dialogue. She is a co-chair of the Young Collectors Council at the Guggenheim Museum and the Contemporary Arts Council at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. In Miami, she also serves on the Acquisitions Committee at the Institute of Contemporary Art.

She holds a degree in Arts Administration from Columbia University and lives between New York, Miami, and Hong Kong.

Advisory Board Members

  • An Associate Curator, Collections at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York since 2015, David specializes in postwar art and the histories and legacies of abstraction. His curatorial leadership includes Jean Dubuffet: Ardent Celebration at the Guggenheim Bilbao (2022) and Marking Time: Process in Minimal Abstraction (2019–21), as well as cocurating R. H. Quaytman + ×, Chapter 34. He has also contributed to landmark exhibitions including Hilma af Klint: Paintings for the Future, Guggenheim Collection: Brancusi, Agnes Martin, and Guggenheim Collection: Early Modernism.

    David’s deep knowledge of modern and contemporary art, combined with his commitment to thoughtful stewardship, rigorous scholarship, and institutional leadership, will meaningfully strengthen our work. He brings a nuanced understanding of how exhibitions, collections, and research shape cultural narratives. His perspective will help us further elevate underrepresented contemporary artists and curators, expand critical dialogue, and advance a more inclusive and forward-thinking art ecosystem.

David Max Horowitz

  • As Director of Editorial and Content at Artsy and Artnet, Casey has spent more than a decade shaping conversations around contemporary art and culture. Since joining Artsy in 2013, she has held a range of editorial and leadership roles, most recently leading the content team and serving as Chief Curator.

    In this role, Casey has overseen editorial, curation, and major initiatives including The Artsy Vanguard. Following the 2026 merger of Artsy and Artnet, she now leads content across both platforms.

    With a master’s degree in Art History from NYU’s Institute of Fine Arts, Casey brings a unique combination of editorial expertise, curatorial insight, and a deep understanding of the art world.

Casey Lesser

  • Elena Ketelsen González is a curator and writer. She is Associate Curator at MoMA PS1, where she was a co-organizer of the museum’s 2026 quinquennial exhibition, Greater New York.

    Her recent solo exhibitions at PS1 include Sandra Poulson (2025), Regina José Galindo (2024), and Leslie Martinez (2023). At PS1, she conceptualized and leads Homeroom, a space dedicated to community-based collectives and grassroots organizations, and spearheads the museum's mural program, organizing recent projects with Esteban Cabeza de Baca (2026) and Lady Pink (2025).

    Her writing has appeared in publications for the 60th Venice Biennale (2024), the Museu de Arte de São Paulo (MASP), TEOR/éTica, and El Museo del Barrio, amongst others. Previously, she held curatorial and programming positions at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of the City of New York, and the Gracie Mansion Conservancy. She was also the founder of La Salit (2017-2021) a, a curatorial project dedicated to artists from across Latin America and the Caribbean.

    González was named a Villa Albertine Museums Next Gen Fellow (2025) and an A&L Berg Foundation ESAP Fellow (2024).
